Safeguarding Children in Angling:

Safeguarding the welfare and protection of young people is the concern of all adults at all times, irrespective of their role within the organisation.

In line with Sport NI and the NSPCC “Good Practice for Children’s Sport”  all suitable policy documents for clubs can be found here in this section.

For further information on safeguarding and your club you can contact your Angling Active Clubs Officer.

REGISTERED BODY STATUS – Angling NI

Angling NI is now the registered body for all Angling Clubs in NI for completing Access NI applications.

Your club can now apply for the “Enhanced” Disclosures” for your club officers and volunteers by following the link below and following the information on the attached document.

When requested please input the following “Personal Identification Number” for Angling NI which is:- 409880 This is the number that you will need to input for any applicants and application so that they can note this on their on-line application.

Before you start:

Apply by logging in. If you don’t have an account with Access NI you can register as part of the application. After registering, you must return to this page to complete your application.

Before beginning you must have with you the following details:

  • The pin number (409880) given to you by the person who asked you to complete this form.
  • your address(es) for the last five years.
  • your National Insurance number.
  • your driving license and passport numbers (if you have these documents)

Clubs (Designated Officer, Secretaries or Chairperson) must also complete the ID Validation Form and return this to AnglingNI via email or post.

After you complete the application

After you complete your application it will be forwarded to the registered body for approval and then to AccessNI for processing.  You will be able to track its progress. You can do this by logging into your account or by using the link included in the confirmation email you will receive.
