Become a Coach

One of the great things about angling is that nearly all anglers give informal and occasional guidance, tips and advice to other anglers to help them catch more fish.

Learning how to fish often involves getting help from many other people as you improve.

Angling NI is determined to ensure that as many anglers as possible feel able to help others learn to fish and to make sure that there is a safe and friendly environment for children to participate in angling.  Therefore, if you are regularly coaching people, we would strongly recommend that you obtain recognised qualifications.

What are the benefits of becoming an Angling coach?

Becoming an angling coach will provide you with:

A recognised qualification.

Appropriate training to develop your coaching skills.

The ability to pass on your angling knowledge and skills confidently and safely to other people.

Recognition from the angling governing bodies, clubs, schools, Sport NI and Local Councils as being qualified and safe to coach angling.

Appropriate insurance cover through the Angling Trust Coach License to Practice Scheme
